Discover Bartók’s Duos for Violin

Continuing our new releases for 2016, we’re happy to announce two new additions to the repertoire today – Bartók violin duos nos. 17 and 25. Performed by Steve Bingham, these duos provide a perfect introduction to the complete collection of 44 Duos. These two new movements are available on all plans, including Student.

More of Bartók’s exciting folk-influenced violin duos, of varying difficulties, will be added throughout the year. The Duos are a fantastic resource for violinists looking for short practice pieces. Deliberately written by the composer as an educational tool these pieces are great fun to play – quirky and imaginative!

All Bartók duos so far also feature short interviews with Steve covering specific techniques and musical issues. Scroll down on the performance page to get this additional insight into the pieces!
