Our apologies that it’s been a bit quiet on the PartPlay blog front in recent months!
That’s because there’s been a lot going on in the background which has been – as you might guess – very time consuming. Because of help from our main sponsors, Wittner and Thomastik-Infeld, we’ve been able to not only continue to expand our free subscription plan, but have also seriously reduced the prices for our monthly and annual subscriptions. You can now get access to the whole PartPlay catalogue for just £10 a year!
We now have 53 movements available, with recent additions including works by Beethoven, Haydn, Philip Glass, Shostakovich and Bartók. Our release schedule for the next couple of months includes Beethoven’s wonderful op.18 no.4 in C minor, repertoire from Kathy and David Blackwell for the free plan, a selection of fun violin duets, and more.
We’re also back in the studio in the autumn with the superb Castalian Quartet, for Ravel, Mozart and more, and with the Artesian Quartet once again, who will be recording the ever popular “American” quartet by Dvorák.
And with more features in development, and several new collaborations in the pipeline, the rest of 2017 should be really interesting!
We do hope that you’ll help spread the word about PartPlay: The support of our subscribers is what helps us expand both our repertoire and our features. We’re hugely grateful to all of you for helping us with this amazing resource. Please keep in touch with your feedback, repertoire suggestions or any problems you have using PartPlay as we want to ensure the best possible user experience.
